Ms. Moon's Journey

Ms. Moon's Journey

Happy Powerhouse Day! As you may know, we experienced a powerful celestial lineup with a Solar Eclipse and the Sun, Moon, and Chiron in a Cazimi! What is a Cazimi, you ask? Simply put, it occurs when a planet directly aligns with the Sun, and today, the Moon and Chiron perfectly aligned with our wonderous star - the Sun. The Sun represents the self and how you operate in the world. The Moon represents your deepest feelings and instincts, while Chiron represents the deep emotional and spiritual wounds that require healing. Many may notice that New Year's resolutions sometimes turn out differently than planned, and most often quit within the first month. This outcome occurs because most of us set goals in the winter when things are barren when we should hibernate as the animal kingdom. Our version of hibernation doesn't involve hauling off and living in a cave from the rest of the world, but it may show itself as isolation and staying indoors more than going out. You may also desire to rest more often than usual because your body is gearing up for the upcoming rebirth.

If you feel you're late setting New Year's resolutions, there's nothing to fear. The zodiacal new year has just begun. The zodiacal or Astrologial New Year officially starts in Spring. Spring is when the rain clears the old, sprouts newness, and fosters hope and rejuvenation. Your energy increases, and you are naturally inclined to do more and start new projects. This year, you may have experienced a sluggishness like no other, which is no surprise—with the powerful energetic force from the Solar Eclipse, coupled with the many planets in fiery Aries - the sign of quick-moving energy it is sure to have the opposite effect with all these planetary power shifts. We had the eclipse, with the Moon and Chiron in a direct Cazimi at 19 degrees and 24 seconds. Mercury will retrograde until April 25th, and we'll feel its effects until May 18th, and Aries is just all up in everyone's business - loud and proud.

Now is the time to jump-start new projects, start health journeys, focus on spiritual health, and get back to YOU! These astrological shifts welcome massive changes in our personal lives and the world. It's not only time to let go of all things that no longer serve you; these planetary alignments aren't giving you an option because it's time to heal yourself and heal the world. If you want to look at today's planetary positions, we've included a chart below from Astroseek.com. Changes from the eclipse don't happen overnight, but setting the intention is a powerful way to start your goals because the energy will resonate in your life for the next year and a half. Whether working within an Eclipse or setting New and Full Moon intentions, you must track your progress and reevaluate upon the next lunar cycle - from New Moon to Full Moon, New Moon to New Moon, etc.
